Most Common Cockroaches Found in Anthem
A community like Anthem might seem peaceful and idyllic, but it is just as susceptible to cockroach invasions as other environments. These pests thrive wherever there are people, but they’re not all the same. Here are the three most common types in the area:

- German cockroach: The German cockroach is fairly small but mighty in its abilities. This species is a light brown color with a metallic shimmer and while it has a set of fully formed wings, the German cockroach rarely takes flight but rather runs very quickly. They are also the most prevalent species across the globe and have a growing immunity to many pesticides.
- American cockroach: The American cockroach is supersized and the largest home-invading species in the area. They are a reddish-brown color and have wings so they can fly short distances. The American cockroach is also known as the waterbug for its proclivity to travel through sewer systems.
